<aside> 💡 From search to cart - the customer-facing team is behind the development of the website where our customers search and buy, as well as sell books. My job is to create an environment where other developers can perform at their best.

<aside> 💼 I have worked in an agency for eight years and have worked on many projects from small websites, complex SASS applications to large-scale projects like FlashSport and FlashNews. My primary focus has always been front-end web development. The front-end world is hectic, complex, crazy and fascinating all at the same time. Quality user-experience is my primary value.

✒️ What I recommend for books for those interested in Frontend development

I don't read much about software, especially not books. My favorite pastime is reading through the documentation of the libraries I use daily at work, I like to know what all they have to offer. If I had to mention at least one book that stuck in my mind, it would definitely be Working Effectively with Legacy Code. The ideal information channels for me are https://thisweekinreact.com/ https://javascriptweekly.com/ and https://nodeweekly.com/.

I think UX is one of the most important factors in good software, so I'd like to recommend a book that changed my perspective on most things in life - Design of Everyday Things

💁 Team

What was the last thing you were most proud of your team for?

I'm proud of my team every day, the guys are doing a great job helping us slowly but surely build Knihobot into a first class software.

What do your team members dislike you for?

Sometimes I talk too much into everything, I have an opinion on everything and I like to discuss. I'm maybe too much of a stickler and perfectionist.

What qualities do you look for in your team members?

I'm looking for humble people who love to learn, improve their knowledge and experience, and aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves and take on things no one else (maybe not even them) wants to do. A dose of inappropriate humour doesn't hurt either.

⌨️ Who is Bookbot for?

What surprised you the most in the first weeks of Bookbot?

It surprised me with its hectic growth, which brings many interesting situations to solve. I came from the "perfect world" of agency projects, so I was also surprised by the amount of legacy code we have. Last but not least, it also surprised me with a very nice and friendly atmosphere.

Who do you think workin at Bookbot is and isn´t for?
